Before we go into facts regarding the Jeep Grand Cherokee Reviews, it may be helpful if I shared a little of my background so you knew more about who was sharing this information. Car and Driver Magazine rated the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee #1 in comparison to it’s competitors. Taken from the Jeep Manifest Commercial “the things that make us Americans are the things we make”; “This, our newest son, was imagined, drawn, carved, stamped, honed, and forged here in America. It is well made and it is designed to work.” If that review alone doesn’t push the New Jeep Grand Cherokee to the top of your buying list, here are 7 facts that I think will do just that.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee Review-Why the Overland is #1

New Jeep Grand Cherokee Fact #1:

The Grand Cherokee revolves around it incredible four wheel drive (4x4) system. Something I found interesting are the two different types of performances available in the 4x4. The first portion of the 4x4 system works in a way that is truly revolutionary. The New Jeep Grand Cherokee actually understands the power balance of its wheels and can place the majority of its power to the specific wheel/wheels that have the most traction. This allows you to easily maneuver your way out of any deep snow and give you a definite feeling of power! Awesome. The other portion of the 4x4 system is slightly more traditional. Rather than putting more power to a specific wheel, the Jeep Grand Cherokee transfers power back and forth between axles. So if it’s the rear that needs more power, that’s where the majority of the power is distributed. All the while, the Grand Cherokee uses sensors in the wheels to best utilize the 4x4 in an “on-demand” need.

New Jeep Grand Cherokee Fact #2:

Heat, Heat, and more Heat! I hate being cold so I love the fact that the New Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with heated mirrors and heated front seats. Amazing quality! Now, I know what your thinking … really Tiffany … aren’t heated mirrors and seats typical on vehicles today? But the heat doesn’t stop there, it’s in the REAR seats and the steering wheel, too. And believe me, a girl can get used to a heated steering wheel. Especially in Wisconsin! Speaking of the steering wheel, it is heated all the way around rather than the traditional heated steering wheels that just have bottom or top heat. Now, I understand that it is the middle of winter in Wisconsin, and heat isn’t a factor year round. But the cooled front seats also work amazingly well, as I hit that button by accident the first time I drove the new Jeep Grand Cherokee!

New Jeep Grand Cherokee Fact #3:

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland provides drivers with a high-class feel inside and truly is a step above the rest. Sit back and relax in the Grand Cherokee’s soft, high-quality leather seats and enjoy the ride. The wood grain dash and center console helps complete the classy look. The Grand Cherokee uses two types of remote-start technology that make the inside perfect for its passengers. By using different sensors, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee makes the temperature inside set to the “auto setting”, which you have programmed and also pays attention to the inside humidity. The Grand Cherokee changes it’s heating and cooling based on having the perfect humidity inside the vehicle. How amazing is that? Technology at it’s finest for all seasons.

New Jeep Grand Cherokee Fact #4:

And while sitting inside the Jeep Grand Cherokee you are surrounded by incredible technology. But, that’s not what this vehicle is all about. Let’s consider the basics. I am only 5’3” … on a good day! And the fact that I felt like I could see all the way around this amazing vehicle, and than some, made me feel even more safe and secure. Plus, the additional blind side monitors and large square mirrors also helped with visibility. As far as fuel economy goes, there’s another Jeep Grand Cherokee fact you should know. The new Grand Cherokee is equipped with cylinder deactivation technology. As soon as the Grand Cherokee identifies that its eight cylinders aren’t needed as much (such as city driving) it transitions in .02 seconds to running on four cylinders to optimize fuel economy. Wow! But don’t worry … in only .02 seconds, it can switch back to eight cylinders and all 360 horses kick-in to give you that real Hemi power when you need it!

New Jeep Grand Cherokee Fact #5:

Even with all it’s luxury, the Grand Cherokee still gave me all of what I expected from the Jeep brand. For example, this baby has a special dial to select the type of terrain you are on to best optimize traction. Anything from rocks, sand, snow (or anywhere in-between) the new Jeep Grand Cherokee has you covered. In addition, the Grand Cherokee comes equipped with a Quadro-lift air suspension system. Without the fancy terms, ladies, this allows the Jeep Grand Cherokee to have 6.7 inches of travel for more ground clearance depending on what you are doing. Giving you the same capabilities as if you were in a Jeep Wrangler. Also, even at highway speeds, the Jeep lowers itself to optimize fuel economy. “Raising standards, while lower fuel consumption.” Perfect balance!

New Jeep Grand Cherokee Fact #6:

The Jeep Grand Cherokee uses a couple of advertising slogans. One that I kept in mind the entire time during the reviews process was “Luxury for All.” Jeep outdoes itself with luxury inside and its price outside. Starting at $29,000 and going all the way to $47,000, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee can fit into most budgets.
